Larry Paul Holdman,82, of Sundown passed from this life on January 26,2025. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday, January 27,2025 at High Plains Cowboy Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at High Plains Cowboy Church with interment to follow in the Sundown Cemetery. 

Larry was born December 29, 1942, to Albert and Ruby Ann Laney Holdman in Pecos, Texas. He was a welder for 35 years. He married Barbara Gray Holdman February 14, 1991, in Morton, Texas. He proudly served his country in the Army Air National Guard in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Larry was a member of High Plains Cowboy Church in Levelland for many years as well as the Elks Lodge. 

He is preceded in death by his son, Anton Holdman; parents, Albert and Ruby Ann Holdman and brothers, Virgil, Albert, and Jerry Holdman. 

After marrying the love of his wife, Barbara, he accepted her children as his own for 33 years, Tricia Britton of Lubbock, Danny Britton and wife, Debbie of Levelland, Sandra Tucher and husband Ken of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and Elizabeth Schumacher and ex-husband Larry of Sundown. He is also survived by his sister, Ethel Green and husband, Paul of Sundown. 

His favorite thing was spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Shelby Mooney and husband, Clay of Lubbock, Caniesha Schumacher of Sundown, Cody Britton and wife, Natasha of Sundown, Shane Tucher, Chad Tucher and wife, Lexie all of Ocean Springs Mississippi, Chloe Jones of Lubbock; great grandchildren, Stacey and Jakob Britton, Chanler and Jazmine Schumacher, Landen and Macyn Tucher, Madison and Levi Tucher, and Everett Mooney. 

Special nephews he loved to show off and get in trouble with were Bryce and Bryan Green, as well as Jason and Daniel Holdman. Many others including his nieces as well. 

Family suggests donations be made to High Plains Cowboy Church or The American Heart Association.
