Larry C. Honeman, 75, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the place he loved best, his home on the lake, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Larry was born on August 17, 1948, to the late Robert and Catherine (Johnson) Honeman in Saginaw, Michigan. Larry married the love of his life, Denise Kerr, in Bay City, Michigan in 1987. Larry retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1999 after 34 faithful years.
Larry was a man that took pride in doing things the right way; in making sure the things he loved were taken care of. And boy, Larry loved his yard. Those crisp and perfect lines, each blade of grass glowing green and vibrant, all rigidly standing at attention. Larry was meticulous in caring for his grass because he took pleasure from the simpler things in life: karate, bowling, sporting events with kids/grandkids, golf cart rides around the lake and spending all day sitting on the deck and watching his beautiful, lake. And speaking of grass and the simple things in life, Larry loved the golf course. If you had one guess for where Larry was, spending time on the golf course or spending time on his deck at the lake would be your best bet.
Larry is survived by his loving spouse, Denise Honeman; his children, Rochel (Laurie) Burke, Jill (Bob) Ringman, Michael (Susan) Ulbricht, Kristofer (Melissa) Ulbricht, Steven Ulbricht and a son-in-law, Fred McGill; 21 cherished grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Bob (Judy) Honeman, Sharon (Bill Messina) Sharon and, of course, his beloved fur baby, Fletcher. Along with his parents, Larry was predeceased by his daughter, Dana McGill, and one grandson.
A Funeral Service celebrating Larry's life will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Ambrose Funeral Home. Reverend Kellie French will officiate. Friends and family may gather for visitation before the service, from 12:00-3:00 PM, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Ambrose Funeral Home. To honor Larry's wishes, cremation will follow.
