Larry proudly served in the United States Navy, where he learned his trade as an aircraft mechanic. He was known for his infectious smile, kindness, love for music, Cordova baseball, and community. He spent countless hours throughout the years walking around the town he dearly loved, quiet time playing his guitars, walking the track, watching his Cubs play, and attending sporting events. Larry's legacy will live on through the love he shared and the lessons he taught. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his Mother-Bertie Howell; Father-Walter Howell; Brothers-Terry Howell, Wayne Howell and William "Bill" Howell; Sisters-Jane Howell and Beth Cohron; Grandson-Gray Noel. He is survived by his Daughters-Jesseca Howell Lane (Chris), Kimberly Calvi (Vince) and Laurie Noel (Steve); Son-Lytle "Buster" Howell (Michelle); Sister-Alice Adcock; 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on August 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cordova High School Varsity Baseball Team in his memory. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
