Larry P. Kerkhoff

Larry Kerkhoff passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He let go of his wife's hand and took the hand of Jesus as he was welcomed into his new home.
Larry was born on July 17, 1947, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Elmer and Rita (McCabe) Kerkhoff. He grew up in East De Pere and graduated from Abbot Pennings High School in 1966.
In 1995, Larry proudly completed his college degree at Lakeland University. He had a fulfilling career in Materials Management at several local hospitals, retiring from ThedaCare Medical Center – Waupaca in 2014.
Larry is survived by his wife, Lynn; children: David (Michelle) Kerkhoff of Woodbury, MN, and Kathryn (Peter) Jackson of Appleton, WI; and stepchildren: Tom (Tina) Hoffman of Green Bay, WI, Megan Dunsirn of Whitefish Bay, WI, and Brianne (Aaron) Kiefert of Middleton, WI. He was especially proud of his 16 grandchildren, each of whom brought him great joy and love throughout his life. He is also survived by his niece, Jennifer (Brian) Roenfranz, Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Rita Kerkhoff; his father-in-law, Gale Oehler; his mother-in-law, Marion Oehler; and his sister, Linda Jonet.

We invite all to join us from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, beginning with a short service at 2:15 PM, followed by light hors d'oeuvres and memory sharing.

A special thank you to Larry's caregivers, Michelle Williams, Joelin Mueller, Rachel Phillips, Abbie Schlafer, and Yolanda, whose loving care allowed Larry to stay at home and live with dignity, joy, and meaning. Your kindness also gave Lynn precious time and comfort, and the stories you shared about Larry will forever be cherished.
Lastly, I cannot thank Moments Hospice enough. Their compassion, thoughtfulness, care, and respect were beyond measure, and the love they showed to both Larry (and I) was a true blessing.
