On January 29, 2024, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Larry Lehmkuhler. Born on February 18, 1948, in Jasper, Indiana, Larry was the youngest of five boys, born to Casper & Dorothy Lehmkuhler.
Larry attended Jasper High School and graduated in 1967. At the age of 17 Larry met the love of his life, Linda, and they have remained inseparable since. After marrying Linda in 1970, they embarked on a life-long journey together. They began their journey in Jasper, Indiana, and moved to Hampton, Virginia in 1974. Larry later embarked on a career with ServiceMaster and served as the Director of Environmental Services at various hospitals, where he cherished leading his teams in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia; ultimately settling back in Hampton, Virginia in 1996.
Larry illuminated everyone's life with a great sense of humor and warm caring spirit. Known for his unique charm and playful expressions like "so long, like a hotdog", "after a while crocodile", and "see you round like a doughnut", he displayed a unique ability to make everyone laugh. Regardless of the situation, he always found joy in life, surrounded by his friends and family. Larry brought laughter and fun to every moment throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Linda of 53 years and his three sons. Lee with wife Andrea and their daughter Olivia. Landon with wife Britney and their children Karson and Tessa. Lonnie and his two children Loralai and Leilani. Additionally, Larry is survived by two of four brothers: Cas Lehmkuhler in Venice, Florida and Jim Lehmkuhler in Jasper, Indiana. Larry was preceded in death by his two brothers Don Lehmkuhler and Ed Lehmkuhler, both of Jasper, Indiana.
