Larry LoBaugh, 86, passed away on December 25, 2025, at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was born on December 7, 1939, in Ron, Oklahoma, the son of the late Marion and Essie (Card) LoBaugh.

Larry was a 1958 graduate of Lone Wolf High School and went on to attend Southwestern State University on a baseball scholarship. Following graduation, he began his teaching career at Burns Flat High School, where he taught American history and coached football and baseball. He later accepted a position at Hobart High School, teaching American history and coaching girls' basketball, baseball, and football.

In 1975, Larry joined Yukon High School as a teacher and coach. After earning his master's degree and administrative certification, he became assistant principal and later principal of Yukon High School. He served in that role until his retirement in 1993.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Dee, Perry Jo, and Beth, and his brothers, Ed and Jerry.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda; his sons, David and Michael; his granddaughter, Avery; and twelve nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to South Yukon Church of Christ, East Europe Missions, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Yukon Pets and People.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at South Yukon Church of Christ, 11700 N.W. 10th Street, Yukon, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery.

Larry was a great high school principal. He was highly visible in the school halls, on school grounds, in classrooms visiting teachers, and at a variety of school events. He took great pride in our school to ensure it was clean and safe. He showed great support for our teachers and took time to learn the names of students.

Larry was also merciful. On more than one occasion he showed compassion to our band of mischievous teenagers with faulty neurological brakes who committed several reckless pranks. One of these pranks would most likely be classified as illegal trespassing today!
