Larry George Luce, age 85, of El Dorado, Kansas, passed away on January 13, 2026.

Larry was born on October 17, 1940, to George Warren Luce and Thelma Ozella (Graves) Luce. He grew up in El Dorado and was a proud graduate of El Dorado High School.

Following his schooling, Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army as a field tanker. After his military service, he made his living as a tradesman, including exterior painting and upholstery repair. For many years, he was also a familiar face at the local bait shop in El Dorado, where he enjoyed helping his fellow fishermen.

Larry was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved fishing and hunting, and in his spare time enjoyed crafting his own fishing lures. A pastime that reflected both his patience and creativity. He also had a lifelong interest in firearms and the careful art of handloading his own ammunition.

Larry will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, and his dedication to the things he enjoyed most in life.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Amy Borecky and Robbyn (Greg) Gauthier; and his nieces and nephews, Rochelle Barker, Shandi (Shawn) Moolsoysen, and Shane Luce.

Cremation has taken place, and Larry will be laid to rest next to his mother and father in Wetumka Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Memorial donations in his name may be directed to Carlson Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
