Eldon Ray Diver, 94, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1931, in Yates Center, Kansas, to Leo Henry and Opal Mae (Bryant) Diver.
Eldon graduated from Yates Center High School and was later drafted into the United States Army, where he served his country honorably. Following his discharge, he began a long and dedicated career with Skelly Refinery, working as a gasoline blender. After 30 years of faithful service, he retired, having built a strong reputation as a dependable and hardworking employee.
Eldon had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time outside whenever possible, finding peace and enjoyment in nature throughout his life.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Diver, Randy Eldon (Heidi) Diver, Annette (Ricky) Tooman, Randy Ray Diver, and Rhonda D. Diver; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at Carlson Colonial Chapel on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Immediately preceding the funeral service, Eldon will be laid to rest at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Winfield, where military honors will be rendered.
