Larry G. Mackowski, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 12, 1948, Larry's life was marked by dedication to his family, a passion for outdoor activities, and a heartwarming spirit that touched all who knew him.
Larry was an avid golfer, known for his remarkable skill on the course and his unforgettable accomplishment of achieving a hole-in-one at Johnsons Park Golf Course in Racine. His love for sports extended beyond golf; he found joy in fishing and baseball, often sharing these beloved activities with his family. Larry's enthusiasm for life was particularly evident during family vacations in Eagle River, where he created lasting memories alongside his loved ones.
Larry's family included his beloved son, Alexei Easton, and his cherished grandson, Harrison (Naomi) Dudek. He shared a special bond with his sisters, Diane (the late Darryl) Niemiec and Sue Mackowski (Ken Yunker), and was proud of the extended family he fostered, which included numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn Mackowski, whose legacy he carried with him throughout his life. His warmth, humor, and zest for life left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
As we remember Larry, we celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the countless moments he shared with those he loved. His spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of his family and friends, serving as a reminder of the love and laughter that defined his life.
