In Loving Memory of Larry Magee
April 8, 1946 - May 21, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Magee, who departed peacefully on May 21, 2025. Born on April 8, 1946, in Bauxite, Arkansas, to Charles and Louise Magee. Larry grew up in Monterey, California. He graduated from 29 Palms High School in 1965. Immediately following graduation, he embarked on a life of service to his country.
Larry proudly served in the United Stated Navy for 18 years, stationed in Rhode Island and completing two tours in Vietnam. A dedicated veteran, he continued his lifelong commitment to service as a firefighter in Coos Bay, Oregon, and later as a volunteer command unit safety officer for the West Jordan Police Department. Answering the call once more, Larry re-enlisted in the Navy in the early 1980's, serving as a SAM Recruiter.
Wherever he went, Larry left a lasting mark, his dedication and work ethic inspiring all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Robbin, and his son Roger (Stacy) Magee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Magee: his brother, Dennis Magee and his son, Gary Magee.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Superior Home Care & Hospice and Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary for their compassionate care.
To Larry, My beloved friend, partner, husband, and soul mate-your steady presence made every moment of life meaningful. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
