In Loving Memory of Kenneth Kim Hardman
February, 25, 1952 - July 14, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Kenneth Kim Hardman, who departed this life on July 14th 2025 at the age of 73. He passed peacefully in the presence of his loving wife of 54 years.
Ken was more than just a father-he was a teacher, a protector, a source of unwavering strength, and a steady light in the lives of those who knew him. Born on February 25, 1952 in Salt Lake City, he lived a life rooted in integrity, hard work, and love of his family. He dedicated himself to his family with quiet selflessness, and offering wisdom and guidance when we needed it most.
Ken started out as a teller at First Security Bank when he was 19 years old. It was the start of a long career in banking. He was loved by his co-workers and he strived to maintain honest relationships. He was known for gentle sense of humor, strong work ethic, kind eyes, and being a gentle giant. He loved practical jokes and many were at the receiving end of his quirky humor. He loved horses, going to the shooting range, and fishing. He loved anything Westerns, Marvel, and Sci-Fi shows, especially Star Trek (He was a life time Trekkie).
He is survived by his children, Michelle Cook (David Cook), and Daniel Hardman, and his grandson, Kenneth Cook, who will carry forward his traditions and his stories.
He also leaves behind his loving wife, Geerdina. His brother Brad (Nancy), his sisters, LuAnn Truscott (Kim), Elsie Hardman, and Lisa Farley, and his many nieces & nephews.
Though our hearts are sad, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace. His presence will forever be felt in the lives he touched and in the memories we hold close.
A viewing will be held Thursday, July 17th, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Jenkins-Soffe, 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095. All who knew and loved Ken are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th, at 11:00 AM at South Jordan Cemetery, 10630 S 1055 W, South Jordan, UT.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in his honor to a Cancer or Diabetes Research Organization of your choice.
Dad, thank you for everything. We will love you forever.
