Larry "Rame" Mailhos passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 2, 2024. He was born March 16, 1939 to Redes Jenkins Sharp and George Mailhos and was a lifelong resident of Covington Louisiana. He was 85 years old. He proceeded in death by his father George Mailhos, mother Redes Jenkins Sharp, brother George Everette Mailhos and sister Margaret Gail McLain. 

He is survived by his loving wife Norma J Mailhos, daughter Rita J Mailhos, grandsons Jacob Niswonger, Dawson Niswonger, and nephew Terry McLain. A long with many sister and brother in-laws and nieces and nephews. 

Rame was a plumber by trade and is retired from the St Tammany Parish School Board. He always used his trade to volunteer to help others in his community. His passion was serving God and helping others. His home was always an open door for anyone in need of a place to stay. He enjoyed spending his time with family and friends. He also enjoyed going to his cabin in the mountains of East Tennessee a place he referred to as his second home. 

He leaves behind a lifetime of great memories. He was cherished by everyone who knew him. He was caring, patient, and kind. He will always be remembered for his way of making people laugh and putting a smile on everyone’s face. 

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Highway 437 Covington, LA 70438. On Saturday September 7, 2024A Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m.. Burial will take place at Barker McManus Cemetery 78468 LA-437, Covington, LA 70435 at approximately 1:00 p.m..
