Larry Millay

William Larry Millay, 75, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born September 7, 1949 in Daviess County to the late Eugene and Mary Seaton Millay. Larry retired as a department manager for Swedish Match. He was a wonderful caregiver for his wife and mother until their passing. Larry had a great attitude about life and was very funny and never met a stranger. He enjoyed flowers, landscaping, gardening, and cooking. He was a frequent morning visitor of McDonald's, where he enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Young Millay; grandson, Kendall Riley; brothers, Jerry and Fred Millay; sister, Connie Powers and her husband, Jack; and sister-in-law, Mary Millay.
He is survived by a daughter, Angela Millay (Eli Ramirez); grandchildren, Darien Riley, Jaxon and Alex; great-grandchild, Kimberlynn; siblings, Mary Jo Williams (Richard), Kenny Millay, Tony Millay, Marla (Michael) Hayden; sister-in-law, Brenda Millay; special niece, Tonia Porter and several nieces and nephews.
Larry will be laid to rest next to his wife at a private burial at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
