Larry was born October 28, 1961, in Fullerton, Nebraska, to Gervin O. and Mary Ellen (Berney) Miller. He grew up on the family farm near Cedar Rapids and graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1981. Following graduation, he worked alongside his father on the farm before attending truck driving school in Omaha.

He married Mary Jo Hare at Archer Zion United Methodist Church in Archer, and together they made their home in Belgrade. Larry and Mary Jo spent many years driving truck for several companies, including Werner Trucking in St. Edward and Sunrise Express in Grand Island for over 20 years. When his health began to decline, Larry continued working as a courier for Wells Drug in Albion.

Larry enjoyed spending weekends cruising the country roads, woodworking, and caring for his yard. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Miller of Belgrade; brother, Jim (Betty) Miller of Belgrade; half-brother, Gavin Miller of Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Gary Kucera; and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Kay Kucera.
