Larry Moline Obituary

On August 13, 2025, we lost Larry Lee Moline. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa (papa), and member of the Fountain Lake community, affectionately known as Mr. Mo. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

Larry was born 1/1/1938 in Omaha, NE to Arvill and Flora Moline. He was the first baby born in Omaha that year and was raised in Ashland, NE by three loving Aunts: Alberta, Gigi, and Lilian, after losing both parents at a very young age.

Growing up on a farm led to Larry's love of horses which brought him to Hot Springs Arkansas in 1958 to work as a hot walker at Oaklawn Park. After working at Oaklawn he moved out west and obtained a master's degree from Long Beach State University in California.

He found his way back to Arkansas after several years and worked for the Southland Corporation where he was a district manager over several 7/11 stores in and around central Arkansas. He then opened his own store, Fountain Lake One Stop where he became known throughout the community as Mr. Mo. Everyone loved Mr. Mo and his donuts.

After retiring from the store, he started a 27-year career driving the school bus for Fountain Lake school district where a new generation of Cobras got to meet Mr. Mo. To maintain his connection to the community he began selling propane so he could stay in touch with the kids as they grew. Larry worked selling propane until his final days.

In later life instead of relaxing he decided to take on training a Belgian Malinois where he became the oldest Schutzhund club competitor in Arkansas. Larry will be deeply missed by his family and friends who loved his adventurous spirit, determination, community, and love for his animals.

Larry is survived by his wife Jimmi Trevathan, son Charles Moline and daughter in law Jennifer Moline, granddaughters Lenzi Trevathan (Edd), and Laci Trevathan and great-grand children Isaiah, Mary, Levi, River, Nathan, Journey and Zion.

Services will be held Saturday, August 30th at 1pm at Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Wy, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local animal rescue or humane society in his honor.
