He and Yvette were later married in Athol, MA on June 24, 1961, and spent 58th years together before her passing in 2019. Larry and Yvette have three daughters: Michelle, Denise and Dianne.
Larry transferred into the AF Reserves and later was hired into a Civil Service ART position where he retired in the late 1990’s. He was fortunate to get stationed near his parents in Oregon in 1972. Larry and Yvette were avid bowlers and were in many bowling leagues wherever they were stationed. He was also busy with their children’s school events, Girl Scouts, PTA, and Mesa Verde High School Music Boosters.
After the girls were older, and both had retired, Larry and Yvette moved to Harbor, Oregon, where they lived for 18 years prior to Yvette’s passing. Larry remained at their home until May of 2025 until he started having health issues and was moved to Medford, Oregon for assisted care.
Larry enjoyed camping, gardening, boating, fishing, photography, making jewelry, rock hounding, bowling, and working on his trains. He had a lovely outdoor railway set up in his yard in Citrus Heights, CA and later moved it to his home in Harbor, OR. He also had an elaborate train room where he spent many hours working on his model train layout. He was a member of Sons of Italy, Stout Mountain Railway Club, Pelican Bay Amateur Radio Club, and Civil Air Patrol where he mentored students interested in aviation as well as flying on multiple missions for reconnaissance and recovery of missing persons. He was also Eddie the Eagle for the local Safety City program for your children to learn road safety.
