Larry D. Murphy Jr., 78, of North Sewickley Township passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at Heritage Valley – Beaver following a brief illness.

Born February 16, 1944 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Larry D. Sr. and Gloria Patterson Murphy. He was married to Marsha Snare Murphy.

Larry had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. He served in the United States Army and was affiliated with the Calvin Presbyterian Church. Larry retired from Calgon in 1999 after 32 years of service as a shipper. Larry was an antique dealer for 36 years. Some of his interests included going to antique shows, flea markets, and hanging with his buddies at Burger King.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Marsha; son, John Murphy; granddaughter, Jamie Murphy; brother, David (Kim) Murphy of Wampum; sister, Sue (Paul) Carozza of Ellport; sister-in-law, Sandy Lamantea; brother-in-law, Ron Snare, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry.

A private Funeral Service for the family will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City. Rev. Sean Brubaker will officiate. Military Honors will be observed.

Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Calvin Church.
