Larry Francis Noel

June 4, 1948 - October 30, 2025

Lafayette: Larry Francis Noel affectionately known to his family as LarryBoy was born on June 4, 1948, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Olivia Mouton Noel and Willie Noel. He passed away on October 30, 2025, at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, Louisiana, where he had been a resident since May 2024.

Larry attended and graduated from Paul Breaux High School in 1966.

Right after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served four tours of duty in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He retired on July 8, 1986, with 20 years of service, having reached the rank of E7.

Larry joined Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age and remained a member until his death. He served as an usher in his teen years and sang in the choir later in life, and loved his Pastor, Reverend Maggie C. Banks. In his latter days, Larry was often a patient at Lafayette General Hospital, where Pastor Banks would frequently visit him and administer communion and prayers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Noel; his mother, Olivia Mouton Noel; his son, Dorian "Chin-Chi" Noel; two sisters, Lois Marie Mouton Andrus and Madeline Noel; and a brother, Henry Noel.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Tussanee Eaglin (Robert) and Raheem Noel (Violet); his sister, Niecee Noel Pikes (Michael); his brother, Waynne Noel (Cheryl); four grandchildren, Elijah Noel, Ezra Noel, Hevani Olivia Noel, and D'Lysa Cambria Renee Noel; one great-grandson, Tristan Ryland Noel; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Larry Francis Noel will be remembered as a man who was a friend to all who share a faith in Christ Jesus as his Savior, a dedicated veteran who served his country honorably for 20 years, and a loving patriarch to his cherished family. His legacy of service and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
