It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Lennard O'Pry, cherished husband, father, brother, and friend. Larry was born on October 23, 1945, in Cottondale, Florida, and peacefully departed this life on September 26, 2024, in Port Wentworth, Georgia.

Larry was a devoted husband to Mary McGhee O'Pry, and a loving father to his children, Leslie Carter, Timothy Bond, and Jeffrey Goodrich. His kindness and compassion also touched the lives of his siblings, including his brothers William, Broward, David, and James, and his sisters Mary Moone and Martha O'Pry. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William D. O'Pry and Hazel L. O'Pry.

Serving his country with pride, Larry was a dedicated member of the United States Navy, where he learned values that shaped his life and career. Following his service, he embarked on a successful journey as an owner-operator truck driver, founding O'Pry Transport, which became a cornerstone of his professional life and a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Larry was a man of many passions, including a deep love for square dancing, which brought him joy and camaraderie. Additionally, he was a committed member of the Baptist faith, finding solace and strength in his spiritual community.

A graveside service to celebrate Larry's life will be held at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia, on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 3:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember a life filled with love, laughter, and endless generosity.
