Robert Lee O’Pry, 78, of Kemp, TX passed away on July 31, 2024, in Tyler, TX. Robert was born on June 12, 1946, to Garland and Bille Jo O’Pry in Dallas, TX.
He was raised in Dallas and worked hard his whole life. He owned R&R Auto Parts wrecking yard in Houston, TX for many years. Robert was a man who was there for you when you needed it. He loved his time with his family, whether it was going fishing or to the beach in Galveston and along the Texas coast. When Robert was home, he spent time building and working on cars with his son. He collected many things and didn’t get rid of anything. Robert had a collection of cars, movies, knives, guns and many other things. He also had many animals he loved to take care of, chickens, pigs and goats. When people told him they loved him he would say, “Everybody loves Robert”.
His parents, first wife Wanda Lynch, and second wife Trenia Gale Tittle; daughter Tammy Marie Martinez, and siblings: Marlene, Irving and Ray preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons Bobby James Rhyne and wife Michele, and John Wayne O’Pry and wife Ana; grandchildren: Heather and husband Weston, Tabitha, Kasey and husband Ali, Jeremiah, Madison and Patrick; great grandchildren: Hayden, Abel, Gracie, Abigail and Jack; siblings: Betty Jean, Darlene, Geraldine and Larry; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
