Larry Lee Parton

Larry Lee Parton, 54, of Chickamauga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 28, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. He was previously employed with Shaw Industries for more than 15 years and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Jo Parton and step-father, Ray McGlamery. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 26 years, Patricia Parton of Chickamauga, GA; mother, Josephine McGlamery of Trenton, GA; children and spouses, Jason & (Jenny) Parton of Chickamauga, GA and Tara & (Daniel) Byer of Trenton, GA; sister, Sandra Lane of Trenton, GA; two grandchildren, Courtney Parton and Jacob Byer and one nephew, John Queen, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will begin receiving friends after 2 p.m. Sunday, all day Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
