Funeral services for Larry Don Pierce, 80, will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at O.E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The service will be officiated by Paul Navarre. Larry was born on September 22, 1944 to Frank J. and Doris Pierce in Logansport, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Larry was a resident of Keithville and retired from AT&T after 34 years of service. He was married to the love of his life, Shirley Pierce, for 60 years. He valued family above everything. He never missed his children/grandchildren’s sporting events. They were the light of his life. Larry was an avid sportsman. He loved deer hunting and fishing and was a huge LSU and Saints fan.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Doris Pierce; sisters, Toni Curry, Pam Conway, and Paula Cordova. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Shirley Pierce; sons, Larry Pierce and wife, Patricia, Michael Pierce, Patrick Pierce and wife, Traci; daughter, Cindy Ledford and husband, Dino; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Honoring Larry as pallbearers will be Larry Pierce, Jr., Patrick Pierce, Josh Berney, Josh Wilcher, Clyde Lusk, and Josh Miller. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dino Ledford and Jason Cordova.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
