Larry Dean Plath, age 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 16, 2025. Larry was born on December 26, 1958, and a life-long resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Naydene Plath and brother, Johnny Plath. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lynda Plath; two sons, Brent (wife Ashley) and Timothy; sisters Debbie Archer (husband Randy), Kathy Cooper (husband Chad), Jamie Davidson (husband Rick); and many nieces and nephews. Larry worked and co-owned a family business (Southwest Outdoor Electric) for over 40 years. Since his retirement he served as a board member of the New Mexico Route 66 Association and was the Vice President of the New Mexico Route 66 Alliance. He loved the time he spent across the state restoring neon signs. Larry enjoyed working with the movie crews who designed sets. He contributed vintage neon signs, older vehicles, and any miscellaneous items the movies may have needed. Larry loved traveling, golf, and never missed an opportunity to talk about his pets.
