Larry was an avid golfer and hunter and loved the Washington Redskins. He retired from the Military Housing Department after more than 20 years of service as a Supervisor Housing Specialist.
Larry is survived by his wife of 36 years, Betty Pledger; his children Lorrie Thurston (John), Pat Teager, Eddie Anderson (Terri), Tom Anderson and Joe Pledger; two brothers and a sister. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Larry is predeceased by two brothers.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on August 9, 2025 at Compassion Church, 750 Manning Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.
