Larry Qualls

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Qualls (age 71), beloved husband, brother, dad, and papa. While he was a resident of Umatilla, Larry spent most of his life in the Ocoee/Winter Garden area. Larry is best known for his big heart, gentle spirit, and profound dedication to his family. He leaves behind memories and a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.

Larry loved the outdoors. He found joy in the simple pleasures of being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature brought him peace and happiness. Whether casting a line into a quiet lake at sunrise or walking through the woods on a crisp morning, he found wonder in the beauty that surrounded him and he inspired others to appreciate the world around them too.

He was a devoted husband to Patricia for 53 years, and their marriage showed what lasting love and friendship look like. As a dad, he was wise, caring, and always supportive of, Latrelle and Larry D. Larry especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making memories and sharing his love for the outdoors.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mary Alice and is survived by his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Latrelle (Tony), and his son, Larry D. (Alicia). He also leaves behind wonderful grandchildren Dalton, Jessica, Jacob, Mason and 7 great -grandchildren, all of whom carry on his kindness, loyalty, and love for life and family.

Larry's memory is a blessing and although he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. We will remember him always for his warm smile, his generosity, and the happy times spent together.

Please join us in honoring his life on Monday, December 15th, 2025 at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory in Umatilla, Florida. Family will take visitors from 10 – 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow right after. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, FL at 1:00 p.m.
