Larry Joseph Raymond, 67, of Dubuque, passed away September 17, 2025.

In keeping with his wishes, a small memorial service will be held at a later date where full military honors will be accorded.

Larry was born on January 13, 1958, to Francis and Ellen (Nance) Raymond in Dubuque, Iowa.

He proudly served In the United States Air Force and, following that, served active duty in the Air National Guard during Desert Storm.

He worked as a police chaplain in Arizona for over 24 years, until retiring in 2003.

Larry is survived by his children; Jacinta (Raymond) and Lucas Barnette of Owens Crossroads, Alabama, Nicole (Raymond) Ericson of Phoenix, AZ, Shannon Raymond of Edmonds, WA, and Ciaran Raymond of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Arryell, Maximus, Destiny, Jasmine, Joseph, Ava, Emma, and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Kyler and Cole Campbell, and Hayes Ericson. Also surviving are siblings, Fran and Tom Paisley, Sue and Dick Martin, Dan and Karen Raymond, Steve and Pam Raymond, Patricia and Ron Westhoff, Peggy and Harry Blewett, and Mark and Julie Raymond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Nathaniel Raymond.

The Family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Stonehill Care Center of Dubuque IA and The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, who were entrusted with the arrangements.
