Funeral services for Larry Renner, 78 of Pollock, SD will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 10:30 am at the Pollock Lutheran Church in Pollock, SD. Larry passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. Interment under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, will be at the Spring Creek Cemetery, Pollock, SD.

Early in the morning of Thursday,
February 5th, 2026, Larry John Renner left us to be with the Lord at the age of 78. Larry both was born and died at Mobridge Hospital in Mobridge, SD. He was born on May 24th 1947 to John and Lila Renner.

Larry was the oldest of three boys. He and his brothers grew up on the Renner Farm, East of Pollock. He graduated from Pollock High School in 1965 and attended Hansen Mechanical School in Fargo, ND. Larry briefly entered the army, serving 87 days when he was then released on a hardship discharge with honor to help on the farm due to a farming accident involving his father. Larry remained working on the Renner Farm for the rest of his career.

Larry married the love of his life, Sandra Ann Kruger at Pollock Lutheran Church on December 26th 1970. They were happily married for 49 years. They moved to the farm in 1979 where together, they farmed and raised three children. Larry drove school bus for Pollock School for 36 years. They owned and operated the Fin and Feather Bar and Supper club for a period of time, and more recently, own Renner Properties.

Larry was a talker. He always enjoyed socializing with his morning coffee group and loved to talk about cattle, farms, and cars. If Larry gave you a hard time, then you knew he liked you. More than anything, he enjoyed talking about and spending time with his family when they visited the farm.

Larry is proceeded in death by his loving wife; Sandra Renner (Kruger), his parents; John Renner and Lila Renner (Hagen), his brother; Kevin Renner, and sister-in-law; Maggie (Donovan) Renner.

He is survived by his children; Matthew (Sarah) Renner of Mandan, ND, Marshall (Linnaea) Renner of Farmington, MN, and Melanie (Travis) Vetsch of Pollock, SD. Grandchildren; Ashlee (Collin) Regenscheid, Anna Renner, John Renner, Lila Vetsch, Scarlett Renner and Knox Renner. Great- Grandchildren; Isabelle Sandra Regenscheid and Calvin Mark Regenscheid. Brother; Donovan Renner, and
life-long friend; Ben Quellhorst.
