Larry L. Roach

Larry L. Roach, "Bug", age 86, of Blawnox, passed away on December 31, 2025. Born September 14, 1939, in Houtzdale, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Gladys (Thompson) Roach.

Larry's dedication to his work was evident in his 27 years of service as a PPG Equipment operator at the Carlisle Plant. His commitment to excellence and his strong work ethic left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry. Beyond his professional life, Larry was proud of his time as a K-9 Handler in the US Air Force, where he served with distinction in England, from 1958 to 1962.

A man of diverse interests, Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid vegetable gardener, finding peace in the nurturing of his plants and sharing his harvest with family and friends. His love for golfing was a way to connect with friends and enjoy the outdoors. Larry's passion for playing cards brought laughter and camaraderie into his life, while his enjoyment for deer hunting spoke of his appreciation for nature.

Born into a large and loving family, Larry's life was enriched by the bonds he shared with his siblings: Ida (John) Schwab, Pauline (John) McMunn, Sarah (William) Fromme, William (Lucille) Roach, Russell (Elaine) Roach, Richard (Mary) Roach, Kay (Ken) Neiswonger, Charles (Janice) Roach, Karen Roach, Judith (Richard) Kern, and Sandra L. (John) Bennison. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Larry's family would like to thank the staff at Concordia of Fox Chapel for all the years of care.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 10 am to until time of service at 12 pm at Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home & Crematory Ltd; 930 Center Avenue Blawnox, PA, 15238.

Committal service to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Gardens Chapel.
