Larry went to be with our Lord the 20th, Easter Sunday at Journeycare, Barrington.
Larry grew up in McHenry and lived here all of his life. He was the oldest of 5 children.
Larry worked at Morton Chemical/Dow Chemical for 39 years. Larry loved traveling, camping and most of all hanging out with his kids and grandkids. His passion was golf. He also enjoyed bowling, couples bowling and horseshoes. His travels included going to China twice, Mexico 6 times, Punta Caca twice, the Bahamas twice, and a cruise. He enjoyed many travels within the USA.
First and foremost he cherished his family and blended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearle & Emerson Schwartz, grandparents, many aunts and uncles and a grandson, Kyle Hill.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Althea, his daughters, Cindy Hickey, Michelle Gahgan, his sons, David Schwartz (Suzanne), Sean Gahgan (Angelia), his 9 grandchildren, Benjamin Schwartz, Kevin Heath (Molly), Scott Heath, David Hickey, Jenna Hickey, Rhiannan Gahgan, Emily Gahgan and Lacy LaPlaco. Also his 3 great grandkids, Lilly Schwartz, Stella Schwartz and Johnny Hill. His siblings, Debby Johns (Ronald), Louanne McGovern, Thomas Schwartz (Jean), and John Schwartz (Joanne).

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 3500 W. Washington Street, McHenry, IL. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am.
