Larry D. "Rebel" Sexton

Larry D. "Rebel" Sexton, 63 of Gardners, PA passed away suddenly on Monday, November 15, 2010 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born September 4, 1947 in Oneida, TN to the late Maynard Sexton and Martha Carroll of Oneida, TN. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict, worked for the South Middleton School District, and was a member of Carlisle Eagles Aerie #1299. Larry enjoyed woodworking, was obsessed with his yard, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry is survived by his wife, Linda L. Richardson Sexton; daughter Shelly Sexton of Carlisle; three honorary grandchildren Cole McClintock, Wyatt Yost and Taylor Yost; two brothers Randy Sexton of GA and Michael Carroll of TN; five sisters June Young, Sandy Majors, Deb Henry, and Dee Frogge, all of TN and Kathy Baliles of GA. He was predeceased by a son John Sexton and his step-father Hoyal Carroll, who raised him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with Rev. Randy Zook officiating. There will be a viewing in the funeral home from 9:30 until 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Idaville Cemetery where military honors will be provided by Cumberland County Honor Guard.
