Born December 9, 1968, in Columbus, he was the son of Larry Lee Shinolt Sr. and the late Sharon (Russell) Herr.
Larry graduated from Jennings County High School in 1987 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1987 until 1990. He was a self-employed appliance repairman and had also work for Appliance Mart in Columbus. He was a member of the Butlerville Mennonite Church, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his father, Larry Shinolt Sr. of North Vernon; brother, Donald Lee Shinolt of Bradenton, Florida; uncle, Carl "Doc" (Betty) Shinolt of Butlerville; and cousins, Lori Pettigrew of Columbus and Paula Wright and Jim Shinolt, both of Butlerville.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his aunt and uncle, Linda and Jack Pettigrew; his cousin, Carla Belding; and his grandparents, Donald and Mary Tolbert.
A memorial service for Larry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with Rev. Dale Boyd officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service.
