Larry Spiece

Age 75, of Carson City, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Sparrow Carson City.

Larry was born January 22, 1950, in Norfolk, VA., on the military base, the son of Harold L. and Barbara Jean (Burdick) Spiece. He graduated from Carson City High School with the class of 1968. Larry married Connie Sorrell on September 25, 1971. He worked for General Motors in their education and training department before retiring. He was a member of the Carson City United Methodist Church, UAW Local 602 and the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) in Carson City. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed coaching his sons, watching his sons and grandchildren compete and cheering on the Lions, Tigers and MSU. He enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife Connie, sons Nicholas (Melissa Kaim) Spiece, Brennen Spiece, Filipe (Fabi) Oliveira, grandchildren Noah, Mae, Levi, Vivian, Victoria, sister Susan Spiece Cooper, mother-in-law Frances Sorrell, brother-in-law Bruce Sorrell, sister-in-law Janice Egan and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Barbara and brother Daniel Spiece.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:30 at Carson City Cemetery. Following the interment there will be a memorial gathering at the Carson City American Legion Starting at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Carson City United Methodist Church or the SAL in Carson City.
