Larry Starr Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Jan. 29, 2026.
Larry Watson Starr, of Beebe, Arkansas, left this world to be with his Lord on January 25, 2026. Larry was born on February 20,1943 in Romance, Arkansas. Larry spent most of his life in Beebe, where he lettered in three sports in high school and met his wife and soulmate, Suzanne-clearly his most important win.

Larry worked for the K-Mart Corporation for 22 years, a career that took him all over the United States and gave him an endless supply of stories, which he loved to tell (often more than once, and always with enthusiasm). An adventurer with a generous heart and an open mind, Larry was proud to have crossed the English Channel and climbed the Eiffel Tower. He also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs, where he was always happy to try his luck at the slot machines and celebrate a good win-or at least a good story. Known for his great sense of humor, Larry loved to laugh and made it easy for everyone around him to do the same. He was a devoted husband and father, and a fiercely loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys-remaining faithful through both triumph and heartbreak.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Pauline Starr, his in-laws, Clyde and Cybil Mitchell, and his beloved daughter, Tammy.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Beebe; his son, Mark (Phuong) of Torrance, California; his sister, Sonia (Tom) of Beebe; his brothers Donald (Linda) of Conway and Mike of San Antonio; his son-in-law, Steve Waldron; his grandsons, Jeremy and Alec Waldron of the United Kingdom; and three great-grandchildren.

A family-hosted memorial service will be held on February 7 at 2:00 PM at the Romance Church of Christ.
