Larry Sherman Stauffer, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Warsaw, Indiana, at the age of 87.
Born on February 22, 1938, in Goshen, Indiana, Larry grew up surrounded by the close-knit spirit and enduring values of small-town life. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Susan Marie (Brown) Stauffer, who instilled in him a deep sense of compassion, humility, and integrity—qualities that defined his character throughout his life.
Larry's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Lisa (Dave) Piper, and son, Larry (Susan) Stauffer. His legacy lives on through his many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness. Larry was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Barbara (Ryan) Stauffer, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.
He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Ronnie (Sheri) Stauffer and John Stauffer, who will forever hold dear his steady presence and gentle wisdom.
Larry spent his career in the RV industry, where he earned a reputation as a hardworking, trustworthy, and thoughtful leader. More than just a professional, he was a mentor and friend to many. His involvement in industry associations reflected not just a career, but a true commitment to the people and communities he served.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W. 900 N., Milford, IN 46542. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, with burial immediately after at Oswego Cemetery, 6070 N. Second St., Leesburg, IN 46538.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 5646 Coventry Ln, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
Larry’s warmth, humility, and steadfast love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain a guiding light in the lives he touched.
