Larry Gene Stumpff peacefully passed away on May 4th, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by his loved ones. Larry was born on December 15th, 1937, to Edgar Paul and Pluma Stumpff. Larry's journey through life was marked by dedication to his family, community, and professional endeavors. Larry grew up in Caddo, Missouri, where he created fond memories, especially his time riding his majestic horse, Ole Silver. Larry graduated from Cassville High School before moving to
Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to attend Central Christian College. He worked various jobs before settling in Wichita, Kansas, where he worked at Boeing Company and General Motors.
While in Wichita, Larry met his first wife, Wanda Rider. Together, they had three children and moved to
Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in 1965. Larry's unwavering dedication and entrepreneurial spirit in Bartlesville began with selling life insurance, progressed to home construction, and ultimately created a successful real estate company. He worked diligently to support and nurture his family, always striving to be a loving and devoted father. Later in life, Larry met Linda Peters, and they were married on January 1st, 1983. Together, they had two children and shared 42 years of marriage filled with adventures, travels, laughter, and love. Their unwavering commitment to each other was evident in the joy and harmony they brought to each other and their family every day.
Larry dedicated 56 years to building and leading Stumpff Realtors, with his wife Linda by his side for 45 of those years. Under the continued leadership of his wife, Linda, the company still operates, with their son Levi playing a key role in its management, ensuring his legacy lives on. Throughout his career, Larry received numerous accolades for his exceptional service, with his proudest achievement being named the state of Oklahoma's Realtor of the Year in 2011. He also served as President of the local Board of Realtors and contributed significantly to the industry by serving on the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission for several years.
Larry was a devoted Christian and an active church member. One of his most significant accomplishments was being chosen to participate in the Campaign for Christ in 1969, serving as a missionary in Hawaii for a month. Larry was deeply involved in East Bartlesville Christian Church, which later became Pathway Christian Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and providing strength and comfort. Larry never met a stranger; his warm and welcoming nature made everyone feel like a friend. His
commitment to his faith and community was evident in his daily life and his many roles within the church.
Larry was a proud and active member of the Masonic Lodge since 1997. Throughout his membership, he held multiple offices, including serving as Worshipful Master in 2001. Larry greatly enjoyed participating in fundraisers and events that benefited the community, demonstrating his commitment to service and fellowship. His involvement in the Lodge allowed him to forge strong connections with fellow members and contribute to various charitable initiatives. Larry's dedication to the Masonic principles of brotherhood and philanthropy significantly impacted the Lodge and the broader community.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, and his loving children: daughter Terri Nichols, daughter Traci Estes and husband Sean, daughter Laci Elsheimer and husband Joseph, son Levi Stumpff and wife Lynsey, four brothers, Paul Stumpff, Keith Stumpff and wife Ruth, Jerry Stumpff and wife Carol, Ron Stumpff and wife Joyce. His family was his greatest treasure, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Larry also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Casey Duncan and her husband Kevin, Rocheal Stumpff, Noah Estes and his wife Alyssa, Ty Estes, Olivia Robertson, Connor Felty, Lily Felty, Owen Felty, Audree Stumpff, Arianna Stumpff, and Asher Stumpff. His grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Paul and Pluma, one brother, Windell Stumpff, one sister, Elizabeth Stumpff, one son, Larry Stumpff Jr., and one grandson, Austin Stumpff.
Larry's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments shared with him.
