Larry Richard Tate, age 82, of Linneus, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Purdin with Pastor Rex Leppin officiating.
Memorials to Mt. Olive Cemetery may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.
Larry Richard, son of Lawrence Richard and Dorothy Fern (Falconer) Tate, was born December 21, 1939, in Linneus Missouri. On June 5, 1960, he married Judith Kay Clawson. Judith preceded him in death on December 20, 2010. Larry enjoyed his life on the farm raising cattle and row crops. He was a family man and loved to spend time watching his grandchildren play sports and show livestock.
Survivors include his two children, Kathy Waits (Jim), Meadville, and Larry Dean Tate (Valerie), Purdin; three grandchildren, Jennifer Allred (Jeffery), Chillicothe, Rick Tate (Britany), Linneus, and Raysha Tate, Appleton City, MO; two great-grandsons, Layne and Rhett Tate and two great-granddaughters; one sister Janet Meek, Chula, one brother, Mike Tate (Susan), Mendon, as well as several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Grace Tate Boyles; his wife, Judith Tate; one daughter, Teresa Ann Tate, and several brothers and sisters in law.
