William Shaul Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wright Funeral Home on Jan. 24, 2026.
William Stephen "Spiff" "Beef" Shaul, age 64, passed away on January 23, 2026. Steve was born on March 3, 1961, and lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, humor, and deep love for his family.

Steve retired after a career as a gas foreman at Liberty Utilities and proudly served as a veteran of the United States Army Reserves. He was known as a kind, witty, honest, and well-loved man-someone who left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Steve had a deep love for the outdoors, fishing was his passion and also enjoyed bird watching-most notably eagles. One of his greatest joys was competing in bass tournaments alongside his cousin Mike Mudd. Their friendly rivalry and well-earned bragging rights are proudly displayed in Steve's mancave, a space that reflected his passions and personality.

Above all else, Steve cherished his wife, Debra Shaul, dearly. Their bond was the center of his world, and together they built a life filled with laughter, devotion, and family.

Along with his wife, Steve is survived by his sister, Sarah Gladbach (Tim); his uncle, Richard Goosey; and his 6 children and loved ones: Amanda (Skyler), Scott, Courtney, Christy, Andria (Shawn), Eric (Caroline), and several cousins, nieces, nephews.

He also leaves behind a large and cherished group of 20 grandchildren: Tayghan, Keyara, McKinley, Lyric, Emberlynn, Aden, Neveah, Nirvana, Kiya, Ethan, Kynslee, Kagen, Ciera, Lauren, Andrew, Nick, Kennedy, Conner, Kaylani, and Kaden who brought him great pride and joy.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Robert "Bob" Shaul and Mary Shaul.

Steve's legacy lives on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the memories held close by all who loved him.
