Blinda Dianna Shaul

Born December 18th, 1957 in Madison, West Virginia to loving parents, Jack and Erma (Harless) Duty, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her stepson Ryan Shaul. Blinda is survived by her husband Rodney Shaul of Lapeer, MI, daughter Mrs. Patrick (Susan) Motschenbacher (Arbaugh) of Portland, OR, son Mr. Ryan (and Kailey) Arbaugh of Rochester Hills, MI, stepdaughter Mrs. Marc (Angie) Hoffman of Fenton, MI, and six grandchildren, Micah Hoffman and Josiah Hoffman of Fenton, MI, Bennett Arbaugh and Addilyn Arbaugh of Rochester Hills, MI, Daniella Spivey and Rheann Bentley of Campbell, CA. She is also survived by her sister and best friend Mrs. David (Karen) King (Duty) of Madison Heights, MI.
Blinda spent her entire career at Michigan Bell (Ameritech) where she began in an entry level position and worked her way up to manager. She took pride in her work, setting an example of integrity and dedication for those around her.
She enjoyed traveling and scrapbooking, and she especially cherished time with friends and family. She will be most remembered for her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for others. She had a gift for making people feel seen and valued- whether through a kind word, a handmade card, or remembering a small detail about their lives. She found joy in uplifting others and made it her quiet mission to leave people feeling better than she met them. She had the heart of a servant. She was a loving and supportive mother who always offered endless praise and adoration to her children, and she experienced great joy from her role as Nana. A longtime member of the Church of Christ, Blinda drew strength from her faith, her community, and most recently her Ladies Bible Classes at Bellows and Brown Church of Christ, then Lapeer Church of Christ.
Blinda will be laid to rest in The Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442.
