Larry Leslie Teufel, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at The Chapel, Crossings Community Church, with arrangements provided by Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors.
Larry was born on June 11, 1936, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Lionel Teufel and Agnes Trenary Teufel. He grew up in Ponca City, where he formed many treasured, lifelong friendships. After high school, he attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa for two years.
Larry served in the Army National Guard and spent the majority of his career in sales, a field that suited his gift for storytelling and his genuine ability to connect with people. He could spin a yarn with the best of them and never met a stranger.
An avid golfer, Larry won several tournaments and proudly scored two hole-in-ones over the years. He also loved playing cards and earned numerous masterpoints in duplicate bridge, a testament to both his skill and competitive spirit.
Larry is survived by his daughter Tiffany Little and her husband Paul, his grandchildren Carter Little, Carlie Little, and Leslie Reeves and her husband Kent, and his great-grandsons Brooks and Clark Reeves. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Patty Teufel, and a host of nieces and a nephew, all of whom brought joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Don and Leon Teufel, sisters-in-law Sandra, Judy, and Jean, his beloved son Byron Teufel, and his beloved daughter Natasha Bleichroth.
Larry will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, and the way he made people feel welcome and known. Above all, he had a deep and abiding love for the Lord, which shaped his life and legacy.
