Larry Edward Tucker, Sr., 71, of
Fenton, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Larry was born on October 1, 1954, in
St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Charles and Dorothy (Henley) Tucker. He grew up in St. Louis and attended Roosevelt High School. Early in life, he was blessed with two children, Larry Jr. and Renee.
Larry was a hardworking man who wore many hats throughout his life. He worked at E&M Motorcycle Shop, Stupp Brothers Bridge & Iron as a crane operator, as a carpenter for McBride & Sons, and as a truck driver for Martin Transport. He later retired from UPS. No matter the job, Larry was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family.
On November 27, 1999, he married the love of his life, Melissa Parker. Together, they blended their families and shared countless wonderful memories. They lived for a short time in Bourbon and Sullivan before moving back to St. Louis, eventually making their final home in Fenton.
Larry and Melissa loved spending time together and traveling coast to coast. Their adventures took them to California, Florida, South Dakota, Yellowstone, and on cruises, creating memories that their family will treasure forever.
An avid hunter, Larry harvested his final buck this past deer season alongside his brother, Ray. He loved taking his children and grandchildren hunting and to the shooting range, passing on both skills and stories. Family meant everything to him.
Larry had a huge sense of humor and was a master "pesterer" and professional "rage baiter," always quick with a joke and able to make people laugh. He had a joyful spirit that drew people to him wherever he went. Even after his cancer diagnosis, Larry faced each day with grit, grace, and an unshakable joy.
His faith was deeply important to him. In 2010, Larry rededicated his life to Christ and followed in believers baptism. He found his church home at Messenger Church in Fenton. His eternity was secure in Christ, and that assurance gave him peace and strength as he faced his illness.
Larry's legacy of laughter, faith, love, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Tucker of
Fenton, Missouri; a son, Larry Tucker, Jr., and wife Lynnette of Caledonia, Missouri; two daughters, Renee Nash and husband Greg Fuller of
