Mr. Larry Earl Turner, 76 of Murray, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born February 15, 1949, in Murray, KY, Larry was the son of the late Clyde Turner and the late Margaret Louise (Turner) Turner. He lived in Golden Pond, KY until 1964 then moved to Murray. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, later worked with the Tappan Stove Company until its closure, then retired after 35 years of service from Air Products and Chemicals in Calvert City, KY. Larry was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time on Kentucky Lake and vacationing on St. George Island, FL with his family.
Those left to cherish memories of Larry include his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Ladd) Turner of Murray; daughter, Jennifer Gray Baumer, husband Mark of Prospect, KY; son, Jonathan Garett Turner, wife Peggy of Hamlin, KY; grandchildren, William Logan Baumer, Landon Gray Baumer, Julian Andrew Hunt, Tuesday Leanne Moore, and Patience Adelle Hunt. Larry is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Lanny Joe and Terry Ray Turner; and his son, Larry Earl "Chip" Turner.
A service celebrating Larry's life will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, with Rev. Matt Erxleben officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m. A private family inurnment will be held at Murray Memorial Gardens.
