Larry Lawrence West

Larry Lawrence West, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 pm in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi, officiated by Bro. Tim Black.

Mr. West was born on January 8, 1940, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to the late Roy West and Geneva Pauline Rushing West.

Mr. West was a member of First Baptist Church of Pearl, Mississippi, where he previously served as a deacon. He was also a member of the International Union of Operator Engineers. He had a quick wit and a sense of humor that drew people to him and his friendliness made him easy for anyone to get along with. He loved to travel whenever he had the chance.

Mr. West is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Porch West; daughter, Amanda West Enlow (Paul); granddaughter, Katherine Enlow and Olivia Enlow; and brother, Jimmy West (Martha). He was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy West.

Serving as pallbearers are Randall Amason, Glen Porch, Tim Tucker, and Brian Williamson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
