Services for Larry Harles Williams, age 80, of Grandview, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 7, 2025, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Mr. Buddy Fry officiating. Interment will follow in Brazos Point Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Brad McPherson, Ben McPherson, Harvey Mantooth, Marty McPherson, Audra Valamides, and Jaren Walshak.
Larry passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Cleburne. He was born on August 6, 1944, in Meridian, Texas. Larry was a devoted member of the Church of Christ in Grandview. Larry married Peggy June Burnett on May 25, 1963, and together they shared 61 years of love, partnership, and family. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual, known for his generosity and kindness. Larry was a successful entrepreneur, owning Williams Sand and Gravel, a business that reflected his work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. Larry will be remembered for his love for his family and his unwavering dedication to his work and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in the hearts of those he touched.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; children, Jeffery Williams, and Karen McPherson and her husband, Marty; grandchildren, Brad McPherson and his wife Jaci, Jessica Walshak and her husband Jaren, and Ben McPherson; as well as six cherished great-grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his siblings, Dale Williams and his wife, Claudia, and Phil Williams and his wife Sonya, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harles and Helen Williams; his son, John Douglas Williams; and his sisters, LaDean Williams and Linda Gale Williams.
