Published by Legacy on Sep. 3, 2025.
Larry Wayne Williams, a resident of Chesterfield since 2013, and formerly of Almont and Macomb, passed away on September 1, 2025. He was 82 years old.

Larry was born on January 15, 1943, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to his parents, Lowell Edward and Ella Elizabeth (née Dement) Williams. He was raised in Troy, where he graduated from high school. Larry went on to build a long and successful career grinding cylindrical automotive parts, ultimately working his way up to Vice President of Operations and Plant Manager at Acra Centerless Grinding in Sterling Heights. A hardworking man and devoted provider, he retired in 2009 after many dedicated years in the industry.

On August 11, 1990, Larry married his beloved wife, Nancy Williams, in Utica, Michigan. Together they shared 35 years of marriage filled with love and support.

Larry was also an avid outdoorsman who cherished time spent hunting and fishing near his cabin in Roscommon, Michigan. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family, whom he supported and cared for in every way he could.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy Williams; his children, Michele (Craig) Zolotcov and Larry (Lisa) Williams II; his son-in-law, Earl High; his grandchildren, Mercede High, Samantha (Scott) Bente II, and Chaz Williams; and his great-grandson, William Scott Bente III. He also leaves behind his brothers, John (Leslie) Williams and Donald Williams; his sister-in-law, Peggy Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie High; his parents, Lowell and Ella Williams; and his siblings, Edna "Betty" (Bill) Bailey, and Jewell Williams.
