Larry Richard Williams, 78 of Somerset, passed from this life on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center after an extended illness.
He was born on March 24, 1947 in Akron, Ohio, son of the late Pershing and Lois Dilsaver Williams. Larry served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard and was employed with the U-Haul Company as a field manager for 39 years. He enjoyed family trips, visiting Las Vegas, watching sports, cruising, and drinking Miller Lite. He was a kindhearted, generous and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Williams who passed away in 2020. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together. He is also preceded in death by a brother; Thomas "Tom" Williams.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted daughters; Angela (Ricky) Sabine and Nanci (Jason) Campbell all of Somerset. His beloved grandchildren; Jennifer Grace, Crystal Pylant, Corey (Michelle) Jones, Chris Campbell, Becca (Trent) Spidel, Lacey Lee, Tristen Campbell, Jadyn Campbell, and great-grandchildren; Hagen Lee, Kennedy Napier, Chase Lee, Ivy Campbell, Oliver Jones, Maci New, Grayson New, Kerstin Ballard, Paisley Ballard, Sophia Ballard, Ryann-Kate Pylant, Heather Parker and Stetson Spidel. His brother, Tim (Deb) Williams of Florida. Life-long family friend, Ruth McCoy; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A special note of gratitude and special thanks to the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center and the ACU Nurses at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for their compassionate and personal care.
