Latricia Dickison Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2026.
Latricia Ann Dickison, 86, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, with her granddaughters by her side.

Latricia was born on November 9, 1939, in Huntington, West Virginia. She moved to Monticello, Indiana, at the age of 18, where she met her loving husband, Phil. Latricia worked at Home Hospital in Lafayette as a receptionist and assisted with hearing tests for newborn babies. After retiring, she spent many years living in Jacksonville, Florida, before relocating to Newburgh, Indiana. She later returned to Lafayette, where she made her final home.

Latricia was a fun, caring, and outgoing person who loved to laugh and joke with those around her and was known for saying, "I've never met a stranger." She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but the memories shared with her will be cherished forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eva Forgey; her husband, Philip Dickison; and her sister, Joanne Young, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

She is survived by her children, Dale Dickison (Lynne) and Kelly Buhrmester (David); her grandchildren, Tabitha Robinson (Eric), Heather Garrison (Travis), Ryan Dickison (Emily), Nathan Dickison (Megan), and Joshua Dickison; and her great-grandchildren, Davis, Reid, and Lane Robinson; Alvey and Emma Garrison; Delaney and Quinn Dickison; and Hattie, Calla, and Maisie Dickison.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her dear friend, Eva Caudill, and the staff at St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Lafayette for the compassion, care, and support they provided during her time there.

A private celebration of her life will take place at a later date with Eternal Reefs.
