Laura Lee (Fesler) Boram, born on March 21, 1936, daughter of late Laura Sisson and James Woodrow Fesler I of Pendleton, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22 at Rawlins House in Pendleton, after her battle with Alzheimer's became too advanced for her daughter, Amy, to continue caring for her at home. Fittingly, the day prior (Aug 21) marked the 71st wedding anniversary of Laura Lee and her devoted husband, Gerald. Laura attended First Christian Church of Pendleton.
She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Cindy Hyneman; her brother, James Woodrow (Butch) Fesler II; her sister, Janie Cardoza; sister-in-law, Sherry Boram; and grandson's Jacob Lawson and Patrick Boram.

She loved going to the library, reading daily, and completing pro-level crossword puzzles. She was a proud member of a local walking group in Pendleton and was often praised for the beautiful gardens she tended around their historic Pendleton home for over 70 years.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Laura Lee embraced her role with grace and dedication. After graduating high school, she chose to stay home and raise her four children while Gerald managed Pendleton Furniture Mart for over 45 years and oversaw the family's farming operations. Their cabin overlooking a serene pond in Markleville became a cherished gathering place for family celebrations.
Huge Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day gatherings at their home, left a lasting impression on so many extended friends and family, who always stopped by to join in the festivities. Their house, was full of love and laughter.
In their later years, Laura Lee and Gerald enjoyed nearly two decades of winter retreats to Naples, Florida, leaving the day after Christmas to reunite with Gerald's brother, Jay (Merle), his wife, Connie, and many lifelong friends at their KOA home. These trips became treasured traditions, filled with laughter, visits from children and grandchildren, and lasting memories.
