Gerald Edwin Boram, born on February 7, 1934 in Wilkinson, Indiana, son of the late Luther Boram and Helen Stanley of Pendleton passed away peacefully on Monday December 15, 2025 at Westminster Village nursing home in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by loving wife, Laura Lee; daughter, Cindy Hyneman; sister-in-law, Sherry Boram; brother-in-law, Butch Fesler; sister-in-law, Janie Cardozo; and grandsons, Patrick Boram and Jacob Lawson.
He is survived by his children Mark Boram, Elizabeth (John) Cannon, Amy Lawson; son-in-law Steve Hyneman; brothers, Merle Jay (Connie) Boram, Larry Boram and Stanley (Sue) Boram; sister-in-law, Julie Fesler Davis. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Jason (Darcy) Brooks, Carly (Casey) Temple, Alan, Ashley, Aaron, Israel, and David Boram, Samia Boram, Nick (Siera) Cannon, Benjamin (Angel) Cannon, and Kyle (Kasey) Hyneman; 18 great-grand- children, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; his dear friend he was very close to, Aaron Norrod; and his beloved fur baby, Blu.
Gerald will be remembered for his unconditional love of his family, his honesty and integrity. He was a gentleman and a “gentle man”. He was a pillar of the community and a successful businessman owning the Pendleton Furniture Mart for 54 years and oversaw the family’s farming operations. Gerald spent most of his time on the farm and the cabin he built with a serene pond in Emporia. He was a member of the Optimist Club and was on the board of director’s for Pendleton Bank.
Gerald was an avid collector of cars, John Deere tractors, guns, knives, clocks, Civil War memorabilia and so much more. He spent winters with Laura Lee in Naples, Florida along with his brother Merle and his wife Connie. He loved fishing and boating and took many trips to Canada, Minnesota, Tennessee. Gerald traveled the world with his bride Laura Lee of 71 years. Gerald always left everyone with a smile.
A visitation for Gerald will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bozell Funeral Homes & Crematory- Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State Street, Pendleton, Indiana, 46064. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating. The burial will take place in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton, IN.
