Laura Conley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Urban Winkler Funeral Home - Connersville on Mar. 13, 2026.
Laura Sue Conley of Connersville passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 72. Sue was born on August 9, 1953, in Connersville, the daughter of the late Lawrence Fox and Gladys Moore Scott.

Sue graduated from Connersville High School in 1972. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1978, to Calvin Conley in Jellico, Tennessee. They shared 42 years of marriage prior to his death in 2020.

She had been employed at Stant Manufacturing, Ford/Visteon and in Environmental Services at the former Fayette Regional Health. Sue enjoyed working in her flower gardens and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She loved spending time with them and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines of Little League, Spartan Marching Band and football. Sue was known as a hard worker and for her generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.

Her love and memories will be cherished by her daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Weymouth, and Casey (Mike Becker) Branum; step children, Rick (Paula) Conley and Kim (Rob) Gwilt; grandchildren, Brayden (Sarah Stone) Conley, Brendan Weymouth, Hailey (Justin Kidd) Weymouth, Colin (Abigail Mitchum) Branum and Nathan Branum; step grandchildren, Tosha Davis, Mitchell (Lindsey) Fields, Brittany Conley and Tyler Conley; and a great grandson, Lucas Branum. She will be missed by her siblings, Donna Fox, Darrell (Sherry) Fox, Shannon (Pat) Evans, Lisa (Doug) Lineback, Tonya Fisher, Tammy (David) Back, Sherri (Mark) Supinger, Jeff (Tammy) Scott, Greg Fox, Larry Fox, Kevin Fox, and Lori Fox, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a step granddaughter, Lexcie Davis.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2026, at Urban Winkler Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Coyle officiating. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am until the hour of the service. Sue will be laid to rest next to her husband at Columbia Cemetery.
