Laura Ella Creek

Laura Ella Creek, 97, of Hancock, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Homewood Living, Williamsport, MD.

Born Sunday, November 20, 1927, in Warfordsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Wilbur and Lucille Iva Bair Shaw.

Laura was a graduate of Warfordsburg High School, Class of 1946. She was a member of Whips Cove Church and the Hancock Lioness Club. She worked at Creek’s Jewelry for seventeen years.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Scriever (Kay) and Greg Yost (Mary Ann); three grandchildren, Tara Dunio (Steve), Dustin Yost (Mariah), and Derek Yost (Iskra); seven great-grandchildren, Parker, Giavanna, Landyn, Taylor, Haylee, Connor and Charlie; two sisters, Bonnie Ward and Helen Layton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Danielle Yost; three husbands, Reed Scriever, John Yost, and Millard Creek; one sister, Evelyn Heiser; and one brother, Gerald Shaw.

Funeral service will be Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00a.m. with one-hour prior visitation at Whips Cove Church, 5044 Moss Rd, Warfordsburg, PA 17267. Pastor Delmas Bard will officiate. Burial will follow at Buck Valley Christian Church, 2281 Harmonia Rd, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Laura’s name can be made to Whips Cove Church, 5044 Moss Rd, Warfordsburg, PA 17267 and Hancock Lioness Club, 14704 Tollgate Ridge Road, Hancock, MD 21750.
